Leave it to Pandemic, developer of the upcoming Lord of the Rings: Conquest, to deliver to me exactly what I’ve wanted from a LotR game since the films first came out. The game, done in the same style as Star Wars: Battlefront, will finally allow my to massacre an Oliphant and all its riders. And then I’ll slide down the trunk, land on the ground, and proudly accept that as counting as one kill. It shall be epic.

I had a lot of fun with Battlefront, and Pandemic has a tendency to deliver nice games. Nothing that blows my mind, but they are often fun. It took me a month to tire of Battefront, but it was a glorious month of geeked out fighting and war. I expect nothing less from Conquest, and the debut trailer has me convinced that this is Pandemic’s goal.
