Capcom made a recent announcement that gamers who are digging in and clamping down serious frags, can look forward to some new turf to battle over. The game, despite receiving fair review scores, has sky-rocketed in popularity. Maybe gamers just can’t get enough of the winter treatment?
Anyway, the first Lost Planet multiplayer map will be made available on March 9th for only 400 Microsoft Points. More maps are scheduled to follow, with the points to required for purchase to be announced. “We’re committed to bringing new content to the thriving community of Lost Planet fans,” said Charles Bellfield, the vice president of marketing at Capcom. “The development team is steadily working on additional environments to provide players with new ways to enjoy the intense Lost Planet brand of action.”
Oh boy, isn’t it great to know that you’re still making payments on a $60 game well after it’s been paid for? In that way, it is safe to say that PC gaming at least cuts the crap and offers gamers tons of user/modded/developer maps without additional payments. Well, it's not that extra content is always free in PC gaming. But console gamers’ wallets are fighting a losing battle against good games with tempting extras that comes with a price.

What's the PC equivalent of Xbox Live, Gears of War and Halo 3? At least console gamers don't have to upgrade the graphics card every month to play new games.
