MAG Beta Open To All In Two Weeks

Zipper Interactive announced this morning that their large-scale multiplayer shooter MAG has gone gold in select territories. The game will arrive as expected on January 26th in North America and Asia, January 28th in Japan, and January 29th in Korea.

"The European discs are finishing up final quality assurance rounds right now and we expect to see those editions go gold sometime in the next few weeks," Zipper community manager Jeremy Dunham stated on the PlayStation.Blog. Sony confirmed on Friday that MAG would arrive in Europe on January 29th.

Zipper will launch the MAG's fifth and final beta on January 4th. Unlike previous beta phases, this one will be open to all comers - no special key will be necessary. You'll be able to download the necessary files beginning on December 22nd so you're locked and load when it goes live. Beta 5 allows you to test out the game's 64-player Sabotage and 256-player Domination modes and will run until January 10th.
