The Massive Action Game (and I kid you not, this is actually the game’s name) may not look all that fantastic compared to Heavy Rain or Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but it sure does pack a hefty punch as a true MMO console shooter. The new trailer lays down some in-game footage and lets loose on showcasing some of the game’s armament and vehicles.

Like any standard-fare, persistent MMO, MAG will allow players to advance in rank, choose from a variety of classes and partake in faction wars. The thing that sets this game apart from any other console MMO is that as players win battles and earn recognition on the battlefield they will eventually be able to command other players with an RTS-like commander mode (i.e., Savage or Savage 2).

The following video trailer is just a collage of in-game shots and a showcase of the 256 player action taking place on destructible maps with all sorts of vehicles and turrets just blasting the living crap out of stuff.
