If you were looking forward to playing the demo of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which comes jam packed into the full HD collection of Zone of the Enders, you'll have tears to shed and groans to spare, as the Japanese version of Zone of the Enders HD no longer has a demo for the Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
According to the Examiner, the product listing for Hideo Kojima's highly anticipated Zone of the Enders HD Collection the demo of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is no longer listed for the Xbox 360 version. Why? Because Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has been canceled for the Xbox 360.
Konami cited “various reasons” as the culprit for the cancellation of the Xbox 360 version fo Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance in Japan. Most people simply presume that the poor install base and low sales of Microsoft's console in Japan prompted Konami to completely forgo the American system in Japan altogether. A shame really, given that it seems like the game would have been finished and localized first for the Japanese and then ported to the Americas and Europe.
Anyway, the only people missing out on the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo will be Japanese Xbox 360 owners, and you could practically count them on a single hand.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection is set for release for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Over here Stateside the MGR: Revengeance demo should still be available in the collection for both systems. For more info feel free to visit the Official Website.
