Madden NFL 10 isn't the only Madden game planned for 2009. EA said today that they'll release an arcade-like football game will be released during this holiday season.

In a conference call with investors, EA Sports prez Peter Moore said that Madden Arcade will be released for the Xbox Live and PSN. It'll be similar to 3 on 3 NHL Arcade, the simplified hockey game with bobblehead players that EA released in February. Exact gameplay details weren't revealed during the call, though.

Many of EA's recent releases in the XBLA/PSN market have been scaled-down versions of existing major franchises. In addition to 3 on 3 NHL Arcade, they also produced NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition and Battlefield 1943 this year.
