In the end, EA just couldn't make up their mind on a Madden cover athlete. For the first time ever in the series, they've got two football players on the cover.

Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will share cover duties this year. Unlike NCAA Football 10, which features a different athlete on each version, Madden NFL 10 will have Fitzgerald and Polamalu on every version.

”Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu are exemplary examples of the epic battle between offense and defense in the NFL,” said Sr. Product Manager Anthony Stevenson. “Madden NFL 10 showcases the Fight For Every Yard, and nobody fights harder than Troy and Larry, making them the perfect athletes to grace the cover.”

Madden NFL 10 will be released on August 14th. It will appear on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, and PSP.
