For years you've been able to play against people online in Madden but imagine what you could accomplish together. Madden NFL 10 will introduce online cooperative play to the series.

It seems to work a lot like the local co-op. You and another player pick and control specific players with each play. Unlike local co-op, though, you're not forced to share the same camera. You'll have position-specific camera angles so you'll see the field from your player's perspective. That should make it a lot easier to see action on the edges of the field for those of you controlling receivers or defensive backs.

That's apparently not the only thing up EA's sleeve, though. They're promising another "another major announcement regarding a new online feature" at their E3 press conference on June 1st.
