BioWare has released a new mini-documentary for Mass Effect 2 leading up to their massive E3 2009 demo showing. So what appears in this new trailer? Some amazing new gameplay scenes and a few hints about Commander Shepard’s death and the impending story thereafter.

Mass Effect 2 is no simple game that can be summed up within the confines of a single paragraph. However, I shall do my best to confine the game to a single paragraph. For the most part it’s a story-driven RPG that replaces turn-based combat with real-time shooting – events and decisions from the first game also play a significant role in this sequel (for those of you who plan to import your saved game). The game will also still feature multiple choice scenarios with a multitude of outcomes. All of the game’s ambitious features will be set against a visually impressive atmosphere that looks like concept-art in motion.

The new video trailer gives out some non-specific details regarding very important aspects of the game’s character setup and story. A rather bold claim is made in the trailer that indicates some important information being revealed at this year’s E3. That’s just an additional reason to be psyched for this game.
