BioWare has launched a special multiplayer event to keep Mass Effect 3 players entertained through the holiday weekend. Operation Privateer presents challenges for individual players as well as the entire community.
According to the briefing for Operation Privateer, Cerberus has been hitting allied ships hard. Command can only spare a small number of elite soldiers for missions. As they fight in hotspots across the galaxy, these troops will need to find a weak point in Cerberus' kinetic barriers.
What's that all mean for you? Well, the individual goal is to earn 50,000 points against enemies with shields. This includes the Cerberus Centurion, Cerberus Engineer, Cerberus Engineer Turret, Cerberus Nemesis, Cerberus Atlas, Reaper Marauder, Geth Rocket Trooper, Geth Hunter, Geth Pyro, Geth Prime, Geth Prime Turret, Geth Prime Rocket Drone, and Geth Bomber. The point total will carry over between matches. Completing this assignment will earn you a Commendation Pack and Corsair banner.
The goal for the entire community is to complete 50,000 extractions of Batarian, Vorcha, or Turian characters. If this goal is reached, all participants will get a Victory Pack. Additionally, their max capacity for the Ops Survival Kit will be increased to 6.
Operation Privateer will run until November 25th. The rewards for participants will be sent out early next week.
