Mass Effect 3, Tron Evolution Composer Announces New Doomsday EP

Sascha Dikiciyan, better known as Sonic Mayhem, is releasing a new EP featuring electronic-punk music for all you cyber-junkies out there. The name of the new EP is called Doomsday and Sascha takes the experience from work on Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Quake III: Arena and Tron Evolution for the upcoming release.

While Dikiciyan hasn't quite reached the famed pedestal of recognition like some other video game composers, namely Steve Jablonsky or Jesper Kyd, Dikiciyan's music still manages to stand out with the whole future-vibe, cyber-punk feel.

If you're curious how the music for the Doomsday digital release will sound, you can check out a quick sample in the promo trailer below.

The music is pretty cool if you're into the electronic-grunge genre. It's a tough genre to really find an ample amount of support for, given that the real big thing nowadays is dubstep, chillstep, technostep and popstep...if that's even a real thing. Mainly, there's lot of distorted, thumping, drum and bass set atop pop music that seems to be the thriving form of popular music for today's culturally entertained minds. Still, I'm glad we have stuff like this and Michael McCann's Deus Ex: Human Revolution soundtrack to expand on these rarely discovered musical genres.

If you're digging Sonic Mayhem's musical mayhem, then you might be excited about the upcoming EP which is set for release sometime this fall.
