Mass Effect Infiltrator Hitting iOS In March, New Screenshots Released

The imminent launch of Mass Effect 3 has probably made everyone forget about that mobile game Mass Effect Infiltrator that EA announced last month. Well, today EA tried to get the game back on your radar screen by providing more details and screenshots.

"Players take on the role of our protagonist, Randall Ezno, a Cerberus agent who becomes disillusioned with the organization he works for, eventually turning into one of their fiercest enemies as he uncovers the depths that Cerberus will plumb to achieve their despicable goals," said EA of the game's plot. "Along the way the player gathers important Intel that will be shared with the Alliance to help sway the final confrontation in Mass Effect 3 through the Galaxy @ War system."

Like the console Mass Effect games, Infiltrator is a third-person shooter. You'll hop in and out of cover by swiping the touchscreen, and fire by tapping. Ezno is armed with biotic powers as well as high-tech armor and weapons. He'll earn credits through kills that can be spent on gear upgrades.

By gathering Cerberus intel and rescuing prisoners in the game, you'll affect your Galactic Readiness Rating in Mass Effect 3. The higher this rating is, the better the overall ending of the game will be.

Infiltrator will hit iOS later this month. It's coming to Android devices as well but no time table was provided.
