Max Payne 3 Trailer Heads To Brazil

Rockstar Games released the first trailer for their shooter Max Payne 3 today. The 90-second trailer sets up the storyline for the long-awaited sequel.

Max Payne 3 takes place about a decade after the previous game. Former New York Police Department detective Max Payne has decided to leave the country and start over. He ends up working a private security gig in São Paulo, Brazil. The family he's protecting is soon targeted by gangs, though, and it's up to him to save them.

MP3 is the first entry in the series with multiplayer. The game's said to have a number of traditional multiplayer modes as well as a character progression system. Customizable equipment load-outs and persistent clans are also included.

Development for the game is being led by Rockstar Vancouver. However, Rockstar New England, Rockstar London, and Rockstar Toronto are all pitching in as well. This is the first Max Payne not being created by Remedy Entertainment.

MP3 will hit the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 in 2012. The trailer, along with a poster, are below.
