I’m willing to lay actual money down on the table that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be a great a game, and on top of that a better gaming experience than GTA IV. I’m also quite positive there will be some bat shit crazy stuff happening in the arduously long cut scenes. And so a lot of people are preparing for Kojima-san’s Solid finale by playing through the previous games in the series. But why do that when you can have the talented folks at Game Trailers take you through the entire history of Metal Gear.

Not only do they put the Metal Gear origins correctly on the MSX, and not the NES that most of us likely played. But there’s a deep understanding of the series by these guys, and it’s as a good Retrospective as you’ll find anywhere. In fact I’ve been enjoying this run a bit more than the Metroid Retrospective last year.
