Contrary to the rumors, the Mirror's Edge demo won't be coming out on November 6th. Don't worry, it hasn't been pushed back - it's actually been pulled forward. It'll be available by the end of the week.

The action platformer will hit Playstation Network on the 30th and Xbox Live on the 31st. Just in time for the weekend. It'd be great timing if we weren't in the midst of a two-month torrential downpour of big releases. Stupid holiday season. Still, Mirror's Edge has a bit of an experimental concept so it's certainly the sort of game you want to demo before you buy.

Those of you who pre-ordered the game through Best Buy or Gamestop (or possibly another retailer) will have access to a special Time Trial mode for the demo. As previously reported, the Time Trial mode challenges you to race through the level as quick as possible and then upload your fastest times to an online leaderboard. Mirror's Edge will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 11th.
