It was revealed at last week's E3 expo that the Nintendo Wii would be getting an all new RPG adventure game, titled Monado: The Beginning of the World. It hasn't gotten much attention compared to other games but it looks pretty fantastic.

A trailer for the game, aired at Nintendo's press conference, shows a futuristic sword wielding character battling giant robots and crazy looking creatures while Zelda-esque music plays in the background. The game almost reminds me of Final Fantasy but I'll wait until I see more to make that comparison.

The game is being developed by Monolith Soft, the people that brought you Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos, and is your typical Japanese RPG. More screen shots of the game can be seen here. Monado does not have a release date yet but the absence of hard facts make me think it's pretty far off.
