Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Adding Cross-Region, Off-TV Play After Launch
Capcom has announced that they're going to add Cross-Region support as well as Off-TV play for the Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The features, including in a post-launch patch, are the result of fan feedback.
Cross-Region play will allow gamers in North America and Europe to play with each other. Ultimate supports multiplayer for up to four players. Capcom stressed today that the online component of the game is completely free.
Off-TV play is exactly what it sounds like. Players will be able to enjoy MH3U on the GamePad's screen, in case you want to use the television for something else. Screenshots of this feature are below.
Additionally, Capcom is planning to release free DLC quests for the game. These quests will be released on a weekly basis after the game's launch. A full schedule will be announced by Capcom soon.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is an enhanced version of the Wii game Monster Hunter 3. In addition to multiplayer, it introduces improved graphics and new monsters. The game will hit North America and Europe on March 19th and 22nd. A demo is available through the Nintendo eShop.
