This week's batch of new digital comics for the PlayStation Store were accompanied by a bit of bad news. It seems Sony won't be adding anymore comics for the PSP.

"This week will be the final update for digital comics on the PSP," said PlayStation Store director Grace Chen on the PlayStation.Blog. "The Digital Comics Team will continue to work on bringing the comic service to other Sony devices."

In all likelihood, Sony's preparing the service for use on the upcoming PS Vita handheld. Sony previously stated that they were looking into bringing digital comics to the PS3 as well. There's gotta be someone out there who wants to read comics on their flatscreen TV.

The PSP first received digital comics back in 2009. Since then, Sony has added over 4,000 comics to the service from publishers like Marvel, DC Comics, and IDW Publishing. The list of comics included in the last update are below.
