NetherRealm Software and Warner Bros Games’ reboot of the Mortal Kombat franchise is looking kind of promising. A new trailer for the game has surfaced featuring Disturbed's It's Just Another Way to Die, with shadowy decapitations and impalements taking the spotlight.

The new game erases the steps Midway took in the venture of creating 3D fighting fields, instead things are simplified with a move back towards face-to-face, 2D plane fighting. This means that you can no longer move around opponents like in the later entries in the series such as MK: Armageddon or MK vs DC Universe. The fighting has been improved to move even faster than before and the devs are putting in a heck of a lot of time with the game’s design for upgraded visuals and character detail.
