Capcom released a new trailer and a series of screenshots for the career mode featured in MotoGP 09/10. The press release also talks a little bit about what’s new in the career mode and it appears the game will be more simulation oriented than previous entries in the series. That’s certainly not a bad thing considering that other than SBK Suberbike World Championship, there really aren’t any other noteworthy motocrycle sims.

According to the press release...

Players take control of their career both on and off the track competing in races and hiring engineers, team managers and press officers to help further their career as a pro and ultimately win the MotoGP World Championship. Demonstrating your riding skills on the track through overtaking, slipstreaming and showboating will be rewarded with Rider Reputation points.

The reputation points can be used to earn sponsors, better management, and more trustworthy employees. However, players can easily lose rep by executing douche bag moves and trying to be a really big show-off that may result in crashes or falling off the bike. And yeah, as we all know douche bags never finish first in the long run.
