The very first motion-oriented, motorcycle racing game from the MotoGP franchise has officially shipped for the Nintendo Wii. Capcom let the news fly loose today, and we’re informing all you motorcycling gaming enthusiasts out there so you can go pick up a copy of the game.

MotoGP for the Wii sports scaled AI for casual gamers and hardcore gamers alike, providing easy challenges for newcomers and showing “no mercy” for veteran gamers. Using the Wii-mote as a steering wheel, gamers will partake in three distinct racing divisions, including 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP.

A career mode also rears its head in the game, featuring up to 5 playable seasons, customizable bikes, rank progression, and team advancements. Unlockable content such as rider designs and better bikes are also present. Seems fairly deep, eh?

Two-player head-to-head mode is also available, although it’s a bit of a step backward from the four-player modes in previous MotoGP games. The game is currently available at local retailers, but you can learn more by visiting the Official Website.
