Namco Bandai announced that Tekken 6 will be part of an exhibition tournament at the EVO 6 Championship Series in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino between June 17th and June 19th. Gamers who are eagerly inclined to check out an early showing of the console version of Tekken 6 – which won’t be out until this fall – would be wise to attend the event.
”We’re ecstatic to publicly unveil the home console version of TEKKEN 6 at this year’s EVO Championship Tournament,” said In Joon Hwang, brand manager at Namco Bandai Games America. “Not only will this be the first time Tekken fans will be able to get their hands on the console version of the title, but to have the world’s premier Tekken competitors taking the game through it’s paces will be a memorable experience.” Basically, this event will help celebrate the near decade-and-a-half legacy set by the Tekken series. Long-time fans and newfound followers will get an exclusive look at the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of Tekken 6. “This will be an awesome exhibition-tournament, and will be a great first look at TEKKEN 6 console version. If you want to see high caliber play, this is the event you must attend," said Joey Cuellar, EVO Director and Founder.
