We’re starting to see Wii games emerging from the woodworks that actually don’t look like crap. First it was Capcom’s Monster Hunter 3 and now it’s EA’s Need For Speed: Nitro. The new debut trailer is definitely worth watching and if the video is anything to go by, this game might actually be an uber-cool Wii racing title.

Due out later this year for the DS and Wii, Nitro is focused on capturing the casual crowd with “vibrant” visuals, a more laid-back approach to the car handling and all the customizable car features that the series is known for. What’s more is that Need For Speed: Nitro is completely exclusive to Nintendo platforms and there’s no worry about the game being a downgraded port-over from the PS3 or Xbox 360.

You can check out the new debut trailer for the game below, which, in my humble opinion, looks more like a high-end racer than a casual-cruising game.
