For those of you Halo fans who love filling your heads with imaginary information as opposed to actual, useful information, fantastic news has arrived! DK has announced today that they'll be publishing an official Halo encyclopedia!

According to the press release from DK, "The Halo Encyclopedia" will be a comprehensive guide to the characters, weapons, vehicles, equipment, and locations from Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, and Halo 3: ODST. The level of specificity of the release would lead one to believe that information from the Halo novels (where the only actually interesting story developments took place) would be excluded from this "comprehensive guide." Hopefully, that isn't the case, but I have a feeling that most Halo fanboys won't care and will buy the thing anyway.

The encyclopedia will feature 352 pages of full-color (or "colour," as some stubborn people still living in the 1800's like to call it) artwork and information. DK has already published several other encyclopedias for well-known properties, including Star Wars, DC Comics, and the Marvel Universe. Prepare to surrender all your hard-earned dollars in the name of Halo once again this November when this hits stores.
