Neversoft Thinks Intregation Between DJ Hero and Guitar Hero Is PossibleAuthor: Mark Barley

How cool would it be to be scratching a record in DJ Hero and have one of your buddies hitting the drum beat in the background? Well, Neversoft might try to do just that.
In a recent interview with EuroGamer, the developer revealed that it would like to integrate DJ Hero’s turntable into future Guitar Hero games, and vice versa. Imagine rocking out on the guitar and drums to Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing and having someone else scratching the turntable in the background. Talk about awesome. “When we started putting guitar and rock tracks into the mix, they sounded good but it felt that there was something natural missing,” said DJ Hero studio boss Kevin McSherry. “The piece came when we worked out a way to keep a guitar track in its entirety and mix in a DJ set to it. So you get a truly authentic Guitar Hero experience and a truly authentic DJ Hero experience within the same mix.” The Guitar Hero franchise could change drastically if this idea becomes reality, and it could also open the door for more integration of instruments of future franchises. This is one update that I am anxiously looking forward to. DJ Hero and Guitar Hero 5 are due out early fall and are expected to be released on the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. |
