Tecmo announced on Friday that Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for Nintendo DS has gone gold and will be released on March 25th. Also, there's an after-party!

The company will be hosting a launch party on March 26th at the Nintendo World Store in New York City from noon to 4 PM. Attendees will be able to try out Dragon Sword and meet producer/director Yosuke Hayashi. We can only hope there'll be a few ninjas trotting around for photo ops, too.

Dragon Sword is the series' first appearance on DS. The game picks up six months after the events of the 2004 Ninja Gaiden game for Xbox. Dragon Sword features a blend of 2D and 3D graphics and Tecmo promises it makes full use of the DS stylus' capabilities. A playable demo is available now through participating retailers from the DS Download Station Volume 7.
