The game has only been on the horizon for a little while, but Ninja Gaiden II is getting damn close to release. Up until today we’ve gotten a few trickles of screens, vids and details. But hopefully that will change as Team Ninja and Microsoft ramp up the blitz of gorgeous looks at the game. After all, Itagaki and his team are well known for crafting beautiful games that run smooth as silk.

We have a handful of brand new screenshots in the gallery below for you. Along with a brief trailer, which introduces a new character to the story. Sonia is some sort of CIA agent, at least that’s what the video below says. The truth could be far different.

Plan to put on your ninja hat and sparkling new claws of evisceration in the coming months. Ninja Gaiden II is going to blow your mind. Or perhaps just be so damn satisfying and fun that you’ll remember why you love playing video games.
