Darksiders' release is only two weeks away so this would be an ideal time to release a demo to give players a taste of this new IP. Don't expect one to show up on Xbox Live or PSN, though.

"We aren’t doing a demo,” Vigil Games general manager David Adams told VG247. “We didn’t have the time our resources to prepare one – finishing the game came right down to the wire.”

When asked about downloadable content, Adams stated that DLC is "always a possibility" but there were currently no plans for it. Perhaps it depends on how well the game itself does in sales. The reason gaming companies are so keen on DLC is that it allows them to maximize the revenue generated by successful games. If only a small number of consumers buy a game, the new content will have very little sales potential.
