No Multiplayer For Deus Ex: Human Revolution, First Trailer Released
Eidos Montreal has lifted the veil off of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the game formerly known as Deus Ex 3. A new interview and trailer have hit the web today.
In a chat with IGN, game director Jean-Francois Dugas revealed that the game will feature the usual DX mix of action and RPG elements. Players will be able to choose from a variety of augmentations and weapons to fit their playstyle. They'll be able to sneak, shoot, hack, or talk their way through situations. The developers are trying to avoid the overly streamlined style of Deus Ex: Invisible War, though; for example, they're ditching the universal ammo system.
Though most shooters offer multiplayer, Human Revolution will be a single-player-only experience. "Being the first project out of the new Eidos Montréal studio, and staying true to the Deus Ex legacy, the development team wanted to focus purely on the single-player experience to ensure we delivered on that front," said Dugas.
More information will be revealed at E3. That's probably when they'll confirm the game's platforms. Recently we spotted evidence that it'll be multiplatform, though.
The official renaming of the game was accompanied by a new teaser trailer. The Deus Ex 3 teaser showed a nano-augmented baby but the Human Revolution video's got a nano-augmented. Oh, those super-soldiers - they grow up so fast.
