No Multiplayer In Metro 2033

Recently announced Metro 2033 will be many things: a survival horror game, a shooter, and maybe even an RPG. One thing it won't be? A multiplayer game.

"We're 100% focused on single player, which will be a pretty long experience - no multiplayer sorry!" said the official Metro Twitter in response to a fan inquiry (thanks, GOONL!NE).

Makes sense - it's a very story-driven game and multiplayer shoot-outs are generally devoid of any sort of plot. It does put some pressure on Metro to deliver a lengthy single-player campaign, though, or else it will simply be considered rental material. The game arrives next year on the PC and Xbox 360. Trailer, screenshots, and details are here.
