Long before millions wasted away half their lives earning prestige in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the original Call of Duty made many a PC gamer's eyes bleed late into the night with its impressive visuals (still good today) and addictive Nazi-head-shot-filled experience. Luckily for those whippersnappers with their high-fangled hula hoops who HAVEN'T played CoD4's predecessors, there's substantial evidence that the game that started the franchise will be coming to PSN and Xbox Live Arcade.

The websites of both PEGI (a European game ratings board), and the ESRB have given ratings for the game and listed it as on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN. Obviously, that's not a total confirmation that the game will be coming, but unless the ESRB has started hiring drunken hobos to work on their website, the news seems fairly legit.

I'm pretty stoked that Modern Warfare 2 won't be the only CoD game overheating my 360 this year. We'll keep you updated.
