Sure, there was excitement when GTA IV came out, there’s been some hype around the release of Fallout 3, but perhaps the greatest wait of all is finally coming to an end. A demo of the next installment of Popcap’s hugely popular (an understatement) casual game Bejeweled Twist is available for download.

You can download the demo here. Twist has been in development for three years. The game is also on sale on Popcap's official website for $20. Twist is supposedly a complete reimagination of the beloved Bejeweled game and allows players to place their own tiles, setup crazy combos, and take over the world.

The question is, will Bejeweled Twist stand the sequel test? The game is centered around repetitive gameplay, repetitive graphics, and repetitive repetition, it will all come down to how much this routine has really changed from previous games. Or whether it even needs to change, for that matter.
