If you want to kill time before Diablo III's release, Blizzard's got just the place to do it. Today they launched the official community site for the action RPG.

"Welcome to your sanctuary for all the latest developments from New Tristram and beyond, featuring community forums and regular blog updates," said Blizzard. "You can post comments and share Diablo III news items via Twitter, Facebook, and other popular social media outlets, and be sure to check out the new Diablo III news feed regularly. We’ll use it to share the latest Diablo III information and to highlight recent community activity, including your most entertaining videos, art, comics, fansites, and more."

Before Diablo III is released, Blizzard plans to release a Game Guide on the site. The Guide will contain information on the game's lore, characters, classes, locations and more. While they scramble to add all that information to the site, you should complain on the new forums about how long it's taking them.

The new site is kicking things off with a "Diableard" contest. The goal is to "grow and maintain the most awe-inspiring Diableard you can, and don't shave it off until the day Diablo III is released." If you're a man with puny facial hair or a lady, you can still participate by creating a mock beard with any sort of object or substance you can think of.

You can send your Diableard photos to diableards@blizzard.com. Blizzard will take the most impressive photos and post them on the website sometime before the game's release.
