OnLive vice president John Spinale thanked the cloud gaming service's beta participants in a new blog post today. He also gave a general status report.

Spinale reaffirms that the service will launch next year. A public beta has been underway since September and he says that they'll be looking to send out more invitations in the near future. "For those of you hoping to join the Beta, please stay tuned–we’re still expanding and may be testing in your area soon."

OnLive allows players to stream games to their PC or Mac. The games themselves are rendered and stored on remote servers so even a low-end computer will be capable of running them.
