Okay, so you have a PS3 and you bought a second controller. Say you’re throwing down frags left and right in Resistance: FOM and your controller dies on you. What do you do? What...do...you...do? Easy, slap both controllers into the Dual Charger and keep on fragging my good gamers.
Nyko’s Dual Charge AC for the Playstation 3 is the perfect miniature charging station for gamers (or electronic enthusiasts) who can’t keep away from the games, but need to give their controllers a much needed charging boost. The compact device has a built-in outlet plug that can unfold with poshly convenience, and it has two USB ports (with cables) to plug two PS3 controllers into, or other USB compliant devices. Keeping with the stylized look of the PS3, Nyko’s Dual Charger actually looks like a little offspring from Sony’s big black box; the sleek black covering and the matching USB cables will artfully blend right in with your PS3. Just plug the Dual Charger into the wall and hook up to two controllers into it and you’re good to go. Moreover, the DCAC can also be used to charge other digital devices that are USB compliant. Heck, you could hook up and charge your digital camera and take a few snapshots of your PS3 games while one of your other controllers charge as well. The multi-use Dual Charger basically makes it a very handy device if you have multiple components that need charging and you don’t feel like busting out extra cash for more batteries. The only drawback is that you’ll need an outlet nearby so you can still use the wireless controllers – which will be connected into the Dual Charger – with your PS3. It’s not terribly obstructing to your gameplay environment, and it’s certainly not inconvenient enough where you’ll have to play Tetris with your living room to get things to work right. But you will need an entire outlet that’s freed up for the Dual Charger. Overall, though, it’s a nifty little device that will most certainly come in handy once your PS3 controllers start losing battery life, or you just need to charge other USB compatible devices. And if you bought a PS3 (and a second controller for that matter), it wouldn’t hurt to spend the $24.99 on the Dual Charger, once it becomes available in your neck of the woods. Heck, it’s also a lot cheaper than buying more batteries for cameras or MP3 players. For more information on the Dual Charger AC for the PS3, you can visit Nyko’s Official Website. |
