A lot of people have been looking forward to some new IP coming to the pricey next-gen gaming platforms. And while many of these new games capture elements of next-gen gaming, there is one title that embodies that very description like no other game in development; Eye of Judgement. This game will definitely bring the next-generation of gaming to life, no questions asked.

If you have ever seen the anime Yu-Gi-Oh, you will have a pretty good idea of what Eye of Judgement is about. Primarily, it’s a turn-based board game that’s played with real life cards. Let me repeat that – this game is played with real life cards. For those who don’t know, there’s a reader where the two participants can place their cards (much like the Eye-Toy). Dynamically, the card that’s put into play will come to life in a 3D representation.

The following trailer gives a brief demonstration of how the game is played and how battles are comprised of visual eye-candy and tons of strategic elements. Heck, this is as much a next-gen promo game as it is a card strategist’s dream come true. Eye of Judgement, exclusive for the PlayStation 3, is due out in the fourth-quarter of 2007.
