The PSN Play summer promotion returns for 2012 with four games on offer including The Expendables 2 Video Game, Sound Shapes, Papo & Yo and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
All games will release at $14.99 or a discount of 20 percent off ($11.99) for PlayStation Plus Subscribers. As an added bonus, purchasing any two games between July 24 and Aug. 27 will net you $3 in PSN credit while purchasing any three games will land you $6 and all four games will earn you $10. You can also pre-order any of these games one week before their release date on PSN. Doing so will also net you an exclusive XMB theme for that game. First up is The Expendables 2 Videogame, set to release on July 31. It's a four-player top-down twin-stick shooter, complete with reactionary close range combat and plenty of ways to make the world go boom. Sound Shapes follows on Aug. 7, turning music into platforming levels and allowing players to share their creations online. Purchasing this game for either the PS3 or Vita will grant you access to the game on both consoles. Third in the lineup is Papo & Yo, telling the unique story of a boy and his monster as they solve puzzles across a magical world on Aug. 14. Finally, FPS fanatics will be able to get their hands on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Aug. 21, making all of their terrorist vs. counter-terrorist dreams a reality.
