Apparently we're far enough into the 2008 Holiday Game Release Clusterf*** that it's time to start announcing release dates for 2009 games. Peggle: Dual Shot, the Nintendo DS version of the award-winning puzzle game Peggle by PopCap Games, will arrive in stores on March 3rd.

Dual Shot, being developed by Q Entertainment, was announced in July. At the time, it was said that Dual Shot would have "features unique to the DS version," as well as "a wealth of surprise additions sure to please die-hard fans and novice players alike." Still no details on what those surprises are, though we know the Nintendo DS version will contain more levels than any other previous Peggle release.

Whatever the new goodies end up being, Peggle is a pretty decent game on its own. The game has racked up numerous awards and versions have already been released on Windows, Mac OS X, iPod, Xbox Live Arcade, and mobile phones.
