Petition Pleas For Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 On PS3/Xbox 360, And I Agree

published: 2007-07-23 09:51:17
If turns out that I’m not the only one who wants the cosmos to realign so that Electronic Arts disappears and allows Capcom to once again work with Marvel as PetitionSpot.com already has 498 petitions for MVC3. The thing is, the petition started all the way back in 2005 and there are only 498 petitions. Let me say that again: Four hundred and ninety eight petitions…since 2005. Quite frankly, that’s pathetic.

Wake up, people! A third iteration to the Marvel Vs. Capcom franchise is just what the 2D fighting genre needs to get people crowding back into the arcades or huddled around their consoles. And even though it came out almost seven (!) years ago, I still see plenty of people bypassing Tekken this, or Soul Caliber that, to plunk in quarters for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. And would you just think of the awesome possibilities?!: Moon Knight vs. Arthur (From Ghost n Goblins), Cloak and Dagger vs. Chris and Barry (From Resident Evil), The Punisher vs. Cable. Really, this would probably be even better than every game ever made in the history of gaming times a million.

And to add salt to the wound, Wikipedia states that Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 was the “fourth and final” game in the MVC series. I don’t know about you, but personally, I want to laugh in Wikipedia’s face and say, “Haw haw, you were wrong.” So please, get back on the case and get Marvel (or Capcom, I’m not really sure whose fault it was) to see the error of their ways for parting from such a dynamic binding. Because Cyclops really needs to get punched in the face by Akuma just one-more-time! (Editor's Note: Being that Cyclops is one of my favorites, I disagree entirely with him being punched in the face by Akuma)
