Planet Explorers Joins Steam's Greenlight
Pathea Games has announced today that Planet Explorers has officially joined Steam's Greenlight service. So what is Planet Explorers? It's a survival, ecosystem-based open-world emergent game. You can build, survive, fight, scavenge and rule the land while facing off against all sorts of alien lifeforms, robots, mutants and humans.
The promo trailer on the Greenlight page is very encouraging, as we've been following the game for quite some time since the alpha was released back in July of '12. The game seems to be shaping up very nicely, which you can see in action with the Greenlight trailer below.
I really like the way this game is turning out. The vibrant colors, the original enemy encounters, the whole building system...it all looks really fantastic. I'm very excited about the possibilities of this game. I'm still curious just how much or how far the building mechanics go and exactly what sort of structures players will be able to construct with the toolset. We've seen some brief ground manipulation and race tracks made, but I'd like to see a bit more on the front of home bases or labs and whatnot.
While development is still continuing and the team at Pathea still has a ways to go before Planet Explorers is released, you can still offer up your support by upvoting the game on Steam's Greenlight. It'll be well worth it to have this game launch with full Steam support when it does get finished.
