In the inFamous games for PlayStation 3, protagonist Cole McGrath has the potential to perform good deeds and become a hero, or blow everything up and become a villain. With regular Cole announced as a playable character in the upcoming brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale during San Diego Comic-Con, it makes sense that his evil counterpart would also be added to the roster. And now he has.
Announced earlier today during the GameStop Managers Show in San Antonio, TX, Evil Cole McGrath will take take advantage of electrical and fire elemental abilities, making him a quick, projectile loving combatant for Sony's Smash Bros.-esque fighting game. While some complain that Cole is now essentially taking up two spots on a somewhat controversial roster, I think it's plain to see that this Evil versions move set plays very differently from his lighter side. SuperBot Entertainment Daniel Maniago also said as much in his reveal post on the PlayStation Blog. “Evil Cole harnesses the powers of both electrokinesis and pyrokinesis in battle, offering a style more ruthless in nature than his moral counterpart,” Maniago said. “When you pick up the controller, you'll immediately notice the differences between their fighting styles.” Maniago goes on to hype the announcement of two more characters during this weekend's PAX East event. Any guesses on who they might be? PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal hits store shelves November 20th. Back to top
