The latest in the rhythm game genre comes in the form of a guitar-based next-gen title that uses a real life electric guitar. It’s proprietary tech that allows gamers to jam, riff, strum and chord their way through the game using real guitar skills that can actually be applied to real-life guitar playing. Seven45 has released the official debut trailer for their upcoming rhythm-based music title, Power Gig: Rise of the Sixstring, and it's not too shabby.

The game will sport various modes and difficulties to reflect the skills of beginner and advanced guitar players. It’s definitely a step in the right direction to get EA and Activision off their butts and try something new with Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
