Europa Universalis III: Complete Set To Hit Stores

The 2007 historical strategy game Europa Universalis III is being rereleased in stores and this time, it's bringing a couple friends with it. The Europa Universalis III Complete bundle comes with both the base game as well as its two expansions, Napoleon's Ambition and In Nomine.
Europa Universalis puts players in control of one of several nations between the fall of Constantinople in 1453 and the beginning of the French Revolution in 1789. Like Paradox's other well-known strategy series, Hearts of Iron, the game is ridiculously complex. The game map has 1,700 land and sea provinces and there are 250 playable historical nations to choose from. There's over a hundred different types of troops to command and thousands of real historical figures to befriend or contend with. Napoleon's Ambition and In Nomine extend the endpoints of the game to 1399 and 1821 to throw the Byzantine Empire and Napoleon into the mix. Each also includes a number of tweaks to the interface and A.I. and a host of new features. Needless to say, those of you who calculate all of their purchases based on gameplay hours per dollar spent will probably be pleased by this bundle. Amazon has the price listed at $29.99. The release date is listed on Paradox's website as October 14th but Amazon has it listed as the 17th and Gamestop lists October 21st. It's possible today is shipping date and it'll arrive in stores by this weekend. We've shot off an e-mail to Paradox to try and sort that out for you. Update: Paradox just let us now that the 14th was the shipping date. It will be available for sale in North America on the 21st and in Europe on the 17th.
