To no one's surprise, Ubisoft is working on a third Far Cry game. Ubisoft probably didn't want to reveal its existence this soon, though.

When asked at a recent press event whether he was working on Far Cry 3, Avatar: The Game scriptwriter Kevin Shortt replied (via CVG), "No I'm not, but I know the team are and what I've seen looks pretty exciting."

That's all he revealed about the game, unfortunately. Far Cry 2 narrative designer Patrick Redding said in the past that FC3 could have a South American forest or Antarctic setting.
