Coming on the heels of games like Drift City and Project Torque – and Project Torque is easily one of the best racing games out there, and even more-so because it’s free-to-play – EA has announced that Need for Speed World is on the way and they released a brand new announce trailer.

The game sports all the popular modes made famous throughout the NFS franchise, including the Most Wanted and co-op racing modes. The new trailer showcases a bunch of these modes and some of the physics-based environmental effects that go along with the racing. I’m curious, though, if it will feature the same level of customization and some of the NASCAR modes present in Project Torque or if it’s just going to be standard NFS stuff.
