Let’s put aside our geeky squabbling about a lack of Fatalaties in Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. I don’t say that because Ed Boon and the MK team have made it clear that there would be Fatalities in the upcoming game, and that DC good guys like Batman would instead perform Brutalities. Vicious finishing moves that leave enemies slightly alive. Yay, that makes me happy. As the Mortal Kombat series only has one thing going for it. Here’ s a hint: it’s not a complex fighting system.
The latest batch of screens from the game show off some of what we can expect. Here’s what I know: I shall choose Superman and beat the entire game in as much time as it takes each fight to load and me to throw a punch. Just look at the screen in the gallery below of Sub-Zero uppercutting Supes. You may think that the most incredulous thing is that Sub-Zero isn’t holding a mangled hand after the punch. But there’s something we don’t know about the game, something that makes Superman vulnerable. So damn vulnerable that his cape flows through his body.
This still looks like more of the same one note pandering that the Mortal Kombat series is known for. Except now they’re trying to entice unsuspecting comic book fans into the mix.

I gotta tell you. As much as I hate Mortal Kombat, and as much as I abhor DC Comics, this game looks pretty sweet
