Project CARS Dance Of The Earth Trailer Shimmers With StyleAuthor: William Usher

A new community trailer was released for the upcoming game from Slightly Mad Studios and the gaming community itself, Project CARS. The trailer is called “Dance of the Earth” and it features a brief cinematic look at the game's real-time lighting and effects all while captured within the game itself. It's very impressive.
A lot of games boast high-end visuals and dynamic graphical effects but a lot of times those “high-end visuals” are captured from press bull shots and those “dynamic graphical effects” are usually the result of a lot of post-processing used in a promotional trailer that doesn't really reflect how the game will look or play. Project CARS is the complete opposite of the tried and tired methods of typical PR promotion. Instead, everything you're about to see in the video below was put together by a community user. Everything featured in the video is exactly how it will look in the game and everything showcased in the video is a complete representation of what you will experience in Project CARS. No PR spin-quotes or media Rick-Rolls here, folks. I loved that trailer. It's so cool seeing the gaming community work with game developers to promote upcoming titles. The process of removing publishers and getting gamers directly in touch with the devs definitely seems like a better road for the future of gaming than what we currently have. Project CARS is scheduled to release later this year for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U...yes, the Wii U. A lot of the car liveries and custom textures have been designed by the community, so it'll be interesting to see how that dynamic works when the game is ported over to consoles.
