For a long time we haven't heard anything about Activision's larger-than-life, open-world action game, Prototype. But the game has been reinstated into the press circuits with some shocking new assets, including screenshots that are scary cool.
It's not often that gamers get the option to mutilate bad guys with the avatar's bare hands, yet in the following screenshots you will witness an anti-hero who defies the ethics of mortal kombat. Featuring the ability to manipulate the main character's form with devastating powers, Prototype promises to be a very interesting take on the open-world genre.
We also have the new trailer of some in-game footage. If I must say so myself, the game is looking extremely promising. So long as the gameplay is tight, the AI isn't stupid and the morphing/skills are as useful as they are visually stunning, then Prototype could be the breakout hit of 2009.
