New cinematic footage of R.U.S.E was released, featuring in-engine play, a lot of explosions and some nuclear aftermath. It’s a little surprising that an RTS game could feature graphics as clear and dynamic as what’s shown off in the video trailer, but it’s probably safe to say that the crystal clear resolution could be chalked up to higher levels of detail administered to the vehicles/objects within the camera shots.

The whole gimmick of the game is to rely on decoys and traps to lure enemies into encounters that separate their attention from the main target. It’s an interesting concept but seems like an RTS built for gamers who weren’t smart enough to use similar tactics in more hardcore strategy games like StarCraft or C&C.
