PS3 owners had to be happy that Rainbow Six Vegas 2 was released for their console on the same day it hit the 360. But there's a catch - as it turns out, the PS3 version of R6V2 is riddled with bugs.
The main issues seem to be related to the multiplayer. On the Ubisoft forums, many gamers reported they were often unable to connect to servers. When in an online match, they were subjected persistent lag, drops in frame-rate, and random disconnects. If you're experiencing any of those issues, hop on those forums and give Ubisoft an earful until they release a patch. This whole bug controversy reminds me of the downside of Internet-capable consoles - developers now realize the console games can be patched after release so, like PC games, they're sometimes put on the shelves before they get a final coat of polish.
On the bright side, the consensus seems to be that in spite of the bugs, R6V2 is a pretty solid - if not amazing - game. It currently has a Metacritic score of 83.
